Job Description:BlackStone eIT is looking for a dedicated Data Governance Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that our organization's data assets are well-managed, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations.The successful candidate will lead initiatives to implement data governance policies, promote data quality, and collaborate with various departments to maintain data integrity across systems.Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define roles, responsibilities, and data ownership.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and support remediation efforts.
  • Facilitate training and communication to promote data governance awareness.
  • Support audits and assessments related to data governance.
  • Utilize data governance tools and technologies to manage metadata and data lineage.
  • Assist in the integration of data governance standards into daily operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in data governance or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality processes.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with data governance tools is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
