The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing project costs and ensuring that all financial aspects are controlled effectively. This role plays a key part in maintaining cost efficiency, minimizing financial risks, and supporting successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities
- Measure and price project works based on drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities
- Manage post-contract activities including interim payments, final accounts, and variations
- Prepare and review contractual correspondence and commercial documentation
- Provide advice on contractual matters and ensure compliance with requirements
- Monitor contractor resource allocation and project expenditure
- Audit contractor payments and validate submitted valuations
- Track work progress and maintain accurate measurement records
- Prepare variation orders and day works calculations
- Monitor final cost estimates and maintain expenditure tracking systems
- Review, negotiate, and settle contractor claims
- Coordinate team activities and support project commercial operations
- Prepare financial reports and monthly statements for management
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of pre-contract and post-contract administration
- Experience in cost control, contract management, and claims handling
- Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
