The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing project costs and ensuring that all financial aspects are controlled effectively. This role plays a key part in maintaining cost efficiency, minimizing financial risks, and supporting successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and price project works based on drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities
  • Manage post-contract activities including interim payments, final accounts, and variations
  • Prepare and review contractual correspondence and commercial documentation
  • Provide advice on contractual matters and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Monitor contractor resource allocation and project expenditure
  • Audit contractor payments and validate submitted valuations
  • Track work progress and maintain accurate measurement records
  • Prepare variation orders and day works calculations
  • Monitor final cost estimates and maintain expenditure tracking systems
  • Review, negotiate, and settle contractor claims
  • Coordinate team activities and support project commercial operations
  • Prepare financial reports and monthly statements for management
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of pre-contract and post-contract administration
  • Experience in cost control, contract management, and claims handling
  • Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
