We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Power BI, Microsoft Azure services, and healthcare data compliance standards such as HIPAA. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver accurate, insightful, and secure reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Create and manage data models using Power BI Desktop, including Power Query and DAX.
  • Integrate data from various sources including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and on-prem SQL Server.
  • Transform structured data and build robust data models.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across all BI solutions.
  • Manage Power BI gateways for seamless on-premises data connectivity.
  • Support deployment, maintenance, and security of Power BI solutions, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Document development processes, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and PHI protection standards
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Power BI report development and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong experience with on-premises SQL Server databases, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and data connectivity tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M).
  • Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, especially HIPAA and PHI handling.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Understanding healthcare data standards like FHIR, HL7, or ICD-10.
