This role is responsible for ensuring all construction materials meet project specifications, regulatory standards, and performance requirements. It plays a critical part in maintaining quality, optimizing material usage, and supporting efficient project delivery across infrastructure works.Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications and recommend suitable materials based on performance, cost, and environmental conditions
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for all construction materials
- Conduct inspections and oversee testing of materials including concrete, asphalt, steel, soil, and aggregates
- Approve or reject materials based on compliance with project standards and test results
- Monitor material quality during production, delivery, and installation phases
- Coordinate with procurement teams to evaluate and approve suppliers and vendors
- Perform audits on suppliers and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Identify opportunities to optimize material usage and reduce costs without affecting quality
- Maintain records of material approvals, testing results, and compliance documentation
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards such as ASTM, BS, and ISO
- Provide technical support to engineering and construction teams on material-related matters
- Investigate material failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Support training and knowledge sharing on material quality and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 12 years of experience in construction materials and infrastructure projects
- Strong experience in UAE infrastructure projects and construction supervision
- In-depth knowledge of material testing standards and quality control systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and project teams
