The Design Manager is responsible for managing the complete design lifecycle for leisure and entertainment projects, coordinating consultants and internal teams, safeguarding brand integrity, and providing post-contract design oversight through construction and site implementation stages.Key Responsibilities
- Manage full design development across concept, schematic, and detailed design stages for leisure and entertainment projects
- Coordinate with external designers to align creativity, feasibility, constructability, and brand identity
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Real Estate, Construction, Operations, and Centers of Excellence to integrate functional and operational requirements
- Maintain post-contract design guardianship, including shop drawing reviews, material approvals, mock-ups, and site quality inspections
- Coordinate landlord and authority approvals, ensuring compliance with mall, regulatory, and brand standards
- Drive value engineering and cost optimization with Quantity Surveying, Procurement, and Construction teams while protecting design quality
- Act as the primary design interface for internal and external stakeholders, presenting design updates and reviews to senior and CEO-level leadership
- Ensure quality assurance and brand consistency through enforcement of design guidelines, standards, and site implementation reviews
- 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in design and project management within leisure, entertainment, retail, or restaurant food service projects
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or Design Management
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach
- High level of design and technical expertise covering materials, construction methods, fit-out standards, and landlord submissions
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and structured design review workflows
- Performance-driven mindset with a record of timely approvals, cost control, variation management, and brand consistency
- Lead high-impact leisure and entertainment developments across Dubai
- Work within a dynamic environment that values creativity, quality, and operational excellence
