The Consultant NICU Neonatology is responsible for providing expert care to premature and critically ill newborns, ensuring accurate diagnosis, timely intervention, and continuous monitoring to improve survival and developmental outcomes.Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit
- Diagnose and treat conditions such as respiratory distress, congenital abnormalities, and neonatal infections
- Monitor patient condition and deliver necessary medical interventions
- Interpret diagnostic investigations including imaging and laboratory tests
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Educate parents on neonatal care and post-discharge management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
- Stay updated with advancements in neonatal medicine and apply evidence-based practices
- Medical degree with specialization in Neonatology or Pediatric Critical Care
- Minimum 3 years of experience at consultant level in NICU settings
- Valid license or eligibility to practice in relevant healthcare authority
- Strong expertise in neonatal intensive care and critical care procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
