In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee the design process for construction projects, ensuring seamless integration of architectural and engineering elements while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Manage and coordinate the design team, including architects, engineers, and other design professionals
Oversee the development and implementation of design strategies for the construction project.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure design compliance and address any on-site design challenges
Review and approve design documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure design objectives are met
Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the design phase
Analyze and resolve complex design issues, providing innovative solutions
Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards
Manage design budgets and timelines, optimizing resources for project success
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in construction design

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture, with a proven track record in on-site design management
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Strong knowledge of construction documentation, building codes, and regulations
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead design teams effectively
Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and resource allocation for design projects
Demonstrated ability to review and ensure quality control in design processes
Familiarity with sustainability principles and green building practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Professional certification (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) preferred
Willingness to travel to various construction sites within the UAE

Additional InformationThe role is site based requiring a skilled Design Manager with proven ability in coordination on site between contractors, client, design guardian, supervision team and stake holders.
