This position sits within the Global Markets Investments division at First Abu Dhabi Bank and plays a key role in developing structured credit capabilities. The Portfolio Manager is responsible for originating, structuring, and managing private ABS investments while establishing scalable frameworks that support long-term portfolio growth, diversification, and risk-adjusted returns.Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage portfolios of private ABS across SME lending, consumer finance, and fintech-originated receivables
  • Originate and execute forward-flow transactions with fintech platforms and specialty finance providers
  • Develop warehouse facilities, prefunding structures, and securitization strategies including public take-outs
  • Design and implement structured investment frameworks aligned with internal risk and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain active relationships with originators, servicers, arrangers, and rating agencies
  • Conduct detailed performance monitoring, P and L attribution, and portfolio analytics
  • Apply macroeconomic analysis and relative value assessments to investment decisions
  • Develop advanced financial models including cash flow modelling, stress testing, and scenario analysis
  • Identify and evaluate new asset classes such as digital lending, BNPL, and trade receivables
  • Establish governance frameworks for private ABS and structured credit investments
  • Collaborate with internal teams on capital efficiency, liquidity management, and valuation processes
  • Support scalability of private investments into securitized structures
  • Represent the bank within global structured credit and fintech ecosystems
Ideal Profile
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in structured credit, private ABS, or specialty finance
  • Proven track record in managing investment portfolios and launching structured credit mandates
  • Strong experience in investment banking, asset management, or specialty finance platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of securitization, structured products, and capital markets
  • Ability to engage with global stakeholders and drive complex transactions
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
