Job Description:ResponsibilitiesGreets customers including answering phones and directing customer inquiries to appropriate party.Answers routine billing questions/issues from customersAssists in the opening and closing of the store which includes and but not limited to cash handling and deposits.Completes, processes, and maintains applicable paperwork and records.Manage the daily till (Cash/Deposit) and till procedures.Handle goods and deliver them to the clients.Optimize greeting (Greetings/Department at the end of the sales transaction)Effectively train and direct the activities of cashiers assigned to the front end and set the standard for customer service.Accurately perform opening and/or closing functions and maintain cash office files and reports.Provide on-the-job training to the junior cashiers.Accepts cash, cheques, wire transfers or credit cards for payment and completes cheque and credit card transactions according to established procedures and guidelines.Ensure register/counter areas are neat and stocked with necessary supplies.Identify prices of goods using memory or a scannerEnter transactions in the cash register and provide customers with the total bill.Sort and count currency and coinsIssue receipts and change to customers.Count money at the end and beginning of each shift.Process credit card and check paymentsPerform the duties of customer service representative when required.Assist in stocking shelves, rotating merchandise, and marking prices.Open and close tillsMeasures of success
