Job Title: CashierJob Summary:The Cashier is responsible for handling customer payments accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role involves processing transactions, managing cash and electronic payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.Key Responsibilities:Cash Handling & Transactions:
  • Process cash, credit card, debit card, and digital payments
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and change accurately
  • Ensure correct billing and prevent transaction errors
  • Balance cash drawer at the start and end of shifts
Customer Service:
  • Greet customers in a polite and professional manner
  • Assist customers with billing inquiries and payment issues
  • Provide information about prices, promotions, and offers
  • Ensure a smooth and positive checkout experience
Record Keeping & Reporting:
  • Maintain daily sales records and transaction reports
  • Report discrepancies or cash shortages to supervisors
  • Assist in preparing end-of-day sales summaries
Store Support:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the billing area
  • Assist with basic store operations when required
  • Coordinate with sales and service staff for smooth workflow
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a cashier or in retail/hospitality preferred
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems is an advantage
  • Good communication and customer service skills
