Maintenance Assistant - IKEA Facilities Operations - Al-Futtaim - Dubai UAE

• Perform routine building maintenance tasks to ensure the store remains safe, clean, and fully functional for customers and staff
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to system breakdowns across electrical, mechanical, and civil infrastructure
• Coordinate renovation, repair, and enhancement works with external contractors and service providers
• Apply preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance practices to maintain operational efficiency
• Monitor electrical and mechanical systems including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection equipment
• Inspect MEP systems and verify system readings against equipment parameters and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and operational procedures
• Manage maintenance tasks for lighting systems, signage, cladding, building structure, and interior facilities
• Support safety procedures including emergency drills and evacuation planning
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, and contractor performance reviews

• Diploma in electrical or mechanical technical education or a related industrial field
• Minimum four years of experience in facilities maintenance or building operations
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, ventilation, water supply, and fire protection systems
• Experience with electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, and fire alarm systems
• Ability to manage maintenance activities and coordinate with contractors and service teams
