Facilities Maintenance Assistant - IKEA Al-Futtaim - Dubai, UAE

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maintain facility operations
• Rectify breakdowns and complete scheduled maintenance work orders efficiently
• Monitor and maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and ventilation systems
• Conduct inspections of MEP systems and validate performance against operational manuals
• Coordinate with third-party contractors and supervise maintenance activities
• Review and certify contractor work and invoices for accuracy and compliance
• Secure materials and spare parts required for maintenance and repair tasks
• Prepare technical and progress reports for facility management review
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local safety regulations, and HSE standards
• Support evacuation drills and safety initiatives within the facility
• Foster collaboration across departments to maintain operational excellence

• Diploma in electrical, mechanical, or technical industrial education
• Minimum 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance or building management
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water supply, ETS, firefighting, plumbing, and ventilation systems
• Experience working with electrical systems including lighting, low voltage, medium voltage, and control systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance data analysis tools
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage vendors and coordinate cross-functional tasks
• Good understanding of sustainability practices in facilities management
