This role operates at the executive level, ensuring that all programs and initiatives are aligned with enterprise strategy, financial priorities, and architecture standards. It plays a critical role in driving transformation, improving governance maturity, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain portfolio governance frameworks aligned with enterprise strategy and financial objectives
- Align initiatives with value streams and track outcomes using KPIs and OKRs
- Evaluate and prioritize project proposals to ensure measurable business value
- Lead or support high-priority strategic initiatives assigned by executive leadership
- Oversee governance execution from project intake to closure ensuring compliance with approval frameworks
- Monitor portfolio performance using dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools
- Collaborate with finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and resource optimization
- Manage cross-project risks, dependencies, and constraints to ensure smooth delivery
- Engage stakeholders across business and technology functions to maintain alignment and transparency
- Prepare and present portfolio insights to senior leadership and governance committees
- Drive continuous improvement in portfolio management processes and tools
- Support PMO governance activities including demand management and business case reviews
- Contribute to innovation initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies and strategic ideas
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Finance, or related field
- MBA or master's degree preferred
- 15+ years of experience in portfolio management, transformation, or banking environments
- Strong experience in enterprise governance and large-scale program management
- Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or PMI-PfMP preferred
- Experience managing small teams and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Portfolio governance and strategic planning
- Financial planning and resource optimization
- Risk and dependency management
- Data analysis and executive reporting
- Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Tools such as Clarity PPM, MS Project, and Power BI
- Leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making
