- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues before they become problems.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with factory equipment.
- Perform necessary repairs to restore equipment to proper working condition.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external vendors when specialized repairs are needed.
- Facility Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance of the factory building and infrastructure, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ensure the factory environment is safe, clean, and conducive to efficient production.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and minor plumbing repairs
- Equipment Upgrades and Installation:
- Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
- Upgrade existing equipment to improve efficiency and performance.
- Ensure that all installations and upgrades comply with safety and operational standards.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal equipment and facility maintenance regulations.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.
- Order and replenish supplies as needed to ensure that maintenance tasks can be completed without delay.
- Track and manage maintenance costs to stay within budget.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair costs.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and safety inspections.
- Communicate effectively with management and production staff regarding maintenance schedules and equipment status.
- Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Proven experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Skills:
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Working Conditions:
- The Factory General Maintenance Officer will work in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- The role requires physical stamina, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces.
- May be required to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, depending on maintenance needs.
- Additional Requirements:
- Certification in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or a related field is a plus.
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to undergo further training to stay updated on new maintenance technologies and procedures.
