- Serve as a primary contact for on-property hotel managers and above-property teams seeking legal support.
- Monitor and respond to enquiries sent to the MEA Paralegal of the Day inbox.
- Support day-to-day legal needs of managed hotels, franchise operations, and above-property services across EMEA (with primary focus on MEA).
- Prepare, negotiate, and amend a range of commercial agreements, including vendor, procurement, F&B, IT, partnerships, digital marketing, loyalty, promotions, leases and sponsorship contracts.
- Review documents from internal stakeholders and third parties to ensure compliance with Marriott's contractual standards; draft revisions where needed.
- Prepare renewal/non-renewal letters, termination agreements, and amendments to various operational agreements, management agreements and franchise agreements.
- Assist attorneys with documentation and legal due diligence related to the hotel agreements (e.g. change of hotel ownership, renewal of hotel agreements).
- Conduct legal research and summarise findings; make recommendations to attorneys.
- Draft and respond to legal correspondence and audit enquiries.
- Liaise with external legal counsel on matters requiring local law expertise.
- Maintain and update iManage and TeamConnect database records and legal documentation.
- Organize, track, and maintain comprehensive sets of agreements and related materials.
- Support special projects and additional duties as assigned by attorneys.
- Ensure high-quality, timely, and accurate work aligned with Marriott's standards.
- Bachelor's degree (three- or four-year program) plus 2+ years of relevant experience in transactional or corporate legal work; OR
- At least 4 years of relevant paralegal experience.
- Strong project management capabilities; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to proactively identify legal issues and share updates with the wider team.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and decision-making ability.
- Exceptional attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, PowerPoint; ability to learn SharePoint and Teams.
- Comfort working with databases and document management systems.
