Together. .The AF Import Operations Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of logistics operations through meticulous administrative and clerical support. Managing essential office tasks, coordinating logistics activities, and providing comprehensive support to the team. This role demonstrates dependability in handling tasks, a caring attitude towards team collaboration, a proactive approach to improving processes, and a forward-thinking mindset to anticipate and solve challenges.About the JobKey Responsibilities:Business development with existing customersLiaise regularly with customers for new business / shipment enquiry / Providing new quotation / Providing various logistics solutions, including sales visitGet customer approval on Job / shipment confirmationInitial execution of new shipments with marine service offices / Net work officeInvolvement with work improvement by registering service failuresAll Shipments must be executed with a Quotation to the customerFollow up from initial shipment execution to end delivery / on board deliveryFollow up with overseas office on shipment booking , flight / shipment schedule , pre-alert , shipment tracking , on board delivery date , POD collectionNotify additional delivery charges or revision on cost to customer, If any change in Quote requiredNotify any discrepancy in Shipment detailsEnsure POD’s are uploaded in Portal with accuracyHanding over shipment file to billing or accounting team for final invoicing with summery of charges / Cost Accruals and with Overseas Debit Note ( wherever available)Network Office Enquiry for Rates and Shipment executions by Air / Sea / Local DeliveryDay – Day activities on localArrange cargo pickup based on the supplier’s purchase order (PO) and customer instructionsCoordinate with suppliers to schedule the collection of goods and transfer them to the designated warehouseEnsure relevant shipment details are entered into the company marine's service portal (handled by the back-office team)Upon receiving shipping instructions, submit freight rates to the customer and obtain dispatch approvalCoordinate with the Export Team (Air & Ocean) to arrange bookings to the specified destination as per customer requirementsShare the pre-alert from the company's portal with both the customer and the destination teamIf Hellmann is responsible for customs clearance at the destination, forward all required documents to the appropriate destination office.Upload all vendor invoices to the HMS portalShare a proforma invoice with the customer for PO issuance.Generate the final invoice upon receiving the customer's PO and entity billing details.About YouBachelor’s or Masters in Logistics &supply chain, preferably Logistics managementMinimum 3 years in experience in a similar role.
