Job Title: Operations Manager (Logistics & Freight)Job SummaryThe Operations Manager (Logistics & Freight) is responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, freight management, warehousing, and distribution. The role ensures efficient movement of goods, cost optimization, compliance with regulations, and high service quality.Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and monitor daily logistics and freight operations
  • Coordinate transportation (road, sea, air) and ensure timely deliveries
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and vendors
  • Oversee import/export documentation and customs clearance processes
  • Optimize routes, costs, and delivery schedules
  • Monitor inventory levels and warehouse operations
  • Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations
  • Track shipments and resolve delays, damages, or service issues
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance, costs, and KPIs
  • Lead, train, and supervise logistics staff and drivers
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with transport providers
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in logistics, freight, or supply chain operations
  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, shipping, and customs regulations
  • Experience with logistics software/ERP systems
  • Familiarity with international trade documentation (Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, etc.)
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
