Road and Traffic Design Engineering Technician - Transportation Projects - Parsons Corporation - Dubai, UAE

• Prepare roadway and traffic engineering concept layouts based on engineering sketches and design inputs
• Develop horizontal alignments, typical sections, intersection layouts, and channelization plans
• Produce signing and pavement marking drawings, traffic signal layouts, and work zone traffic control plans
• Apply current roadway geometric design and safety standards to ensure compliant drawings
• Organize plan sheets according to client CAD standards, layer structures, and naming conventions
• Incorporate redlines and design revisions accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to maintain consistency across projects
• Assist with quantity take-offs, signing schedules, and marking tabulations
• Prepare professional exhibits and graphics for technical reports and stakeholder presentations
• Maintain and update standard drawing templates, blocks, and detail libraries
• Conduct internal quality checks to ensure drafting accuracy and completeness
• Communicate proactively with project engineers regarding priorities and production schedules

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting roadway and traffic engineering projects
• Strong understanding of traffic and roadway plan presentation standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads
• Experience preparing concept-level plans for intersections, corridors, and traffic control layouts
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Good communication skills in English
