The Surveyor - Infrastructure Projects is responsible for verifying all surveying activities across construction sites, ensuring accurate setting-out, control point establishment, and alignment of infrastructure works. The role ensures that all civil and utility works meet approved design levels and tolerances, supporting efficient and error-free project execution.Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate survey implementation
- Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control points, benchmarks, and traverse networks
- Coordinate with contractor survey teams to verify benchmarks, layouts, and control data before construction
- Check and verify setting-out works including roads, utilities, and structures for accuracy and compliance
- Monitor excavation, backfilling, and grading to ensure alignment with approved levels and tolerances
- Inspect installation of utilities, chambers, and ducts ensuring correct positioning and cover levels
- Conduct topographic and as-built surveys ensuring accurate documentation and submissions
- Verify calibration and maintenance of survey equipment in line with QA and QC standards
- Assist Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer in reviewing contractor survey works
- Record survey data, maintain field books, and prepare reports for project tracking
- Ensure adherence to approved method statements and safety procedures during survey operations
- Perform joint surveys for measurement verification, progress tracking, and handover activities
- Identify discrepancies in survey data and report deviations immediately for corrective action
- Support resolution of survey-related conflicts across multiple project interfaces
- Monitor safety compliance during survey activities and report unsafe practices
- Extensive experience in surveying for roads, utilities, and infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of UAE standards and existing network systems
- Ability to manage survey verification, control points, and setting-out activities
- Experience working on complex infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in measurements and reporting
- Ability to work effectively in site-based construction environments
