The Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure Projects is responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects in Dubai, UAE. This role supports project delivery by ensuring accurate measurement, cost monitoring, and contract compliance across large-scale infrastructure works.Key Responsibilities
- Measure quantities and prepare cost estimates based on drawings and specifications
- Manage Bills of Quantities and ensure accuracy in pricing and valuation
- Handle post-contract activities including interim payments and final accounts
- Review and manage variations, claims, and contractual correspondence
- Provide advice on contractual and commercial matters throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor contractor performance and validate resource allocation
- Audit contractor payments and ensure accuracy of submitted valuations
- Track work progress and maintain detailed measurement records
- Prepare variation orders and day-work calculations
- Monitor project costs against budget and forecast final project value
- Maintain financial records and prepare monthly financial reports
- Negotiate and support settlement of claims and disputes
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure smooth commercial operations
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- 8 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong knowledge of pre-contract and post-contract administration
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and contract documents
- Good communication skills for coordination with stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Familiarity with UAE approval standards is advantageous
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred
