Senior Land Surveyor role in Dubai supporting major transportation and infrastructure projects through precise surveying, setting-out, and verification activities. - Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and authority standards to ensure accurate survey execution
- Establish, verify, and maintain horizontal and vertical control points, benchmarks, and traverse networks on site
- Coordinate with contractor survey teams to verify benchmarks, layout data, and control points prior to construction
- Check and verify setting-out works for roads, utilities, structures, and civil works against approved drawings
- Monitor excavation, backfilling, and compaction levels to confirm compliance with design grades and tolerances
- Inspect installation of utilities, chambers, and ducts to ensure correct alignment, cover levels, and positioning
- Conduct topographic and as-built surveys and verify accuracy prior to submission for approval
- Ensure survey instruments are calibrated and maintained in accordance with QA QC requirements
- Assist the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer in reviewing contractor survey works and issuing site instructions
- Record survey data, prepare reports, and maintain complete field books and digital records
- Ensure contractor survey activities comply with approved method statements and safety procedures
- Perform joint surveys for measurement verification, interim payments, and handover purposes
- Verify levels and alignments of works prior to covering or backfilling activities
- Support resolution of survey-related issues and coordination between multiple contractors
- Report discrepancies or deviations in setting-out immediately to the supervision team
- Monitor health, safety, and environmental compliance during survey activities
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and supervision surveying roles
- Strong knowledge of existing utility networks and infrastructure systems in Dubai
- Proven experience on major roadway, utilities, and infrastructure projects
- Ability to manage complex survey coordination on large sites
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
