- Develop, implement, and maintain corporate governance frameworks and policies across the organization
- Ensure compliance with UAE insurance, healthcare, AML, and regulatory requirements including CBUAE, SCA, DoH, and DHA
- Align governance structures with strategic objectives in collaboration with senior stakeholders
- Evaluate governance effectiveness and report outcomes to senior management and the Board of Directors
- Maintain current knowledge of local and international governance best practices and regulatory developments
- Oversee and harmonize governance and compliance frameworks across branches and subsidiaries outside the UAE in line with local regulations
- Establish and manage compliance monitoring programs and corrective action plans
- Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and inquiries as the primary point of contact with regulators
- Deliver compliance training and awareness programs covering regulatory updates and industry standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators and industry bodies to anticipate evolving requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience in governance and compliance within the UAE insurance industry
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Risk, or a related discipline
- Master's degree and or professional certifications in Compliance, AML, Risk, or Governance preferred
- In-depth knowledge of UAE insurance and healthcare regulations, governance frameworks, and risk management practices
- Proven experience liaising with CBUAE, SCA, DoH, and DHA
- Experience overseeing GRC functions for international branches and subsidiaries
- Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Senior specialist role within a leading insurance organization in Dubai
